One Minus Sign in a Simple Fractions: Problem 1

Rule 3: If there is one minus sign in a simple fraction, the value of the fraction will be negative.

Problem 1: Write the fraction in two other ways and find the value of the fraction tex2html_wrap_inline43 .

Answer. It makes no difference where the minus sign is located; therefore tex2html_wrap_inline43 can be written as tex2html_wrap_inline47 or tex2html_wrap_inline49 . The value of the fraction is - .75.
