More Than One Minus Sign in Simple Fractions: Problem 2

Rule 4:
If there is an even number of minus signs in a fraction, the value of the fraction is positive.
If there is an odd number of minus signs in a simple fraction, the value of the fraction is negative.

Problem 2:
Find the value of (-8)(-7).

Answer:
There is an even number of minus signs, so the answer is positive. The product of 8 and 7 is 56. The answer is 56.
