Rule 10:
To reduce a simple fraction, follow the following three steps:

Answer. Rewrite the fraction with the numerator factored and the denominator factored. The fraction can be written as

The fraction is equivalent to the fraction .

You can check the answer with your calculator. When you divide - 36 by 60, you should get the same answer as when you divide - 3 by 5.
