Compound Fractions: Example

Rule 27:
A compound fraction is sometimes called a mixed number.

tex2html_wrap_inline32 , tex2html_wrap_inline34 , and tex2html_wrap_inline36 are examples of compound fractions.

Example:
Convert tex2html_wrap_inline38 to a compound fraction.
Answer:
Rewrite tex2html_wrap_inline38 as tex2html_wrap_inline42 .

tex2html_wrap_inline42 can be written tex2html_wrap_inline46 .
