EXPONENTIAL RULES - Problem 2

Rule 1:To multiply identical bases, add the exponents.

Problem 2: Find tex2html_wrap_inline34

Answer: tex2html_wrap_inline36

Solution: Since all the bases are the same, you simply add the exponents to arrive at the answer

You can check your answer with your calculator. Find the values of tex2html_wrap_inline40 , tex2html_wrap_inline42 , and tex2html_wrap_inline44 on your calculator and multiply them. Now find the value of tex2html_wrap_inline36 on your calculator. The results should be the same.
